Sommerro appoints general manager

Norway: Luxury hotel Sommerro has appointed André Julseth as its general manager, effective 1 July 2023. For the past three years Julseth served as general manager of The Well Spa & Hotel, located on the outskirts of Oslo. He played a key role in the launch of the hotel in 2021. Between 2015 and 2020, Julseth worked with Sommerro’s parent company Strawberry at a sister hotel THE THIEF.

Luton Hoo Hotel to join Fairmont Hotels & Resorts

UK: Hotel owner-operator Arora Group has signed an agreement with Accor to redevelop the Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa under the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts brand. Arora Group acquired the Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa in December 2021. It will undergo a multi-million pound redevelopment over the next few years to bring the property in line with Fairmont standards.
