On arrival at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi airport, therefore, Girlahead was just a wee bit below par. At the hotel, elegant ladies in saris waited. But that was soon overcome.

Host hotel HALF MOON, best property in the entire Caribbean, say many, went flat out. Hotel of the year was CHATHAM BARS INN on Cape Cod (MD Gary Thulander). Newly-joined properties were also honoured – WALL STREET HOTEL New York (urban), and AURORA Anguilla (resort). It was a white event. Main courses were clever, too.
