Pizza Marketplace launches Top 100 Movers & Shakers

Calling all pizza operators, franchisees and executives of pizza restaurant brands! Pizza Marketplace is honoring the brands and executives shaping the future of the pizza industry and has opened nominations for our inaugural Pizza Top 100 Movers & Shakers. Winners will be announced at the Top 100 Pizza Gala, that will be held March 28, 2023, at the Las Vegas Country Club in Las Vegas.

Networld Media Group has had so much fun over the years honoring the fast casual's top brands during the Fast Casual Top 100 events that the media company decided to create a similar list for the pizza industry.

"We've also seen how the pizza industry has thrived through the past couple of years, which has been no easy thing to accomplish," said Mandy Wolf Detwiler, the managing editor for Pizza Marketplace.

"While the pandemic changed the face of the restaurant industry, with off-premise dining becoming the prominent way to order, pizza was already well-set up for the shutdowns that many restaurants endured. As a result, pizza sales skyrocketed during the pandemic. Everyone's got their favorite pizza place, whether it's the mom-and-pop down the street or one of the big chains who thrive on delivery, and we can't wait to honor them for their hard work."

The Pizza Top 100 features six categories, and brands may enter as many as they'd like. Categories include:

• Top 15 Emerging Brands (brands less than 6 years old).
• Top 15 Growth Brands (brands that have shown major growth over the past year).
• Top 15 Tech Innovators (brands using tech in cool ways).
• Top 15 Menu Innovators (brands doing interesting things with menu and LTOs).
• Top 15 Marketing Campaigns (brands that had innovative marketing campaigns).
• Top 25 Executives (the pizza industry's most influential leaders).

How it works
To nominate a brand or executive, click here, and choose a category to start a nomination. Once you have completed the form, you will have the option to submit another one. You may submit nominations in as many categories as you want. Nominations must be submitted by Dec. 9, 2022. A special report featuring all the winners will be published on Pizza Marketplace on March 29.

Our editors will review all nominations and select the winners in each category.

Here's the fun part

All winners will be treated to an awards gala on March 28 at the Las Vegas Country Club. The gala is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature a countdown of the winners in each category as well as dinner, cocktails and a few other surprises. All winners will be notified by Jan. 16 but will find out their ranking at the gala. The gala is invite-only, but sponsorship opportunities are available. Send inquiries to adv@networldmediagroup.com.
