Brittain adds Jernigan as chief development officer

Brittain Resorts & Hotels (BRH), a full-service hospitality management company in the Southeast, has added Christy Jernigan as chief development officer.

Jernigan has more than 20 years of industry experience, most notably serving as VP, business development at Aimbridge Hospitality. During her 16-year tenure, she played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s portfolio to more than 1,500 hotels worldwide. Prior to that, she spent five years at Remington Hotels in various operational roles.

Her decision to join BRH was driven by the company’s proven leadership team and organizational culture, the company reports. She is confident that her experience and relationships will contribute significantly to the company’s continued success.

In her new role, Jernigan leads all aspects of business development at BRH. Her primary focus will be expanding Brittain’s third-party management platform by sourcing new deals, acquiring properties and spearheading efforts to expand the network of investment partners.

“As we continue to accelerate our growth strategy and expand our portfolio, it was clear we needed to add a chief development officer to our leadership team,” said Matthew Brittain, CEO, BRH. “Christy undoubtedly brings with her a proven track record of success, but also fits perfectly within our culture at BRH.”
