JCJ Architecture (JCJ), a nationally ranked planning, architecture and interior design firm, has revealed a series of promotions, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to design innovation, technical excellence and client service. The recent elevations include the appointment of one new associate principal and eight new associates who have contributed to the firm’s profile as a national design practice.

Promoted to associate principal:
Nathan Tuttle, AIA, LEED AP—Associate principal, director, technical standards: With nearly 30 years of experience, Tuttle is a highly qualified architect who has served as JCJ’s director of technical standards since 2018. Spearheading the firm’s efforts toward the development and deployment of technical standards, he serves as a day-to-day resource and advisor on all aspects of project documentation and the technical delivery of design. Tuttle earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University and is a registered architect in Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Promoted to associate:
Laura Bedus, AIA, WELL AP, NOMA—Bedus is a civic-minded architect with a diverse range of project experience. Recently named one of the AIA Connecticut’s 2023 Emerging Professionals, Bedus currently serves on NOMACT’s Board of Directors and as Chair of the Communication committee. In these roles, she works alongside other AEC professionals as well as local and state government, students and communities to champion diversity, equity and the education of architecture.
Nicole Brown, NCIDQ—Brown is a fully qualified interior designer who has specialized in projects for the gaming and hospitality market. Infusing her assignments with creativity, technical acumen and personal warmth, she has been an integral part of the firm since joining in 2017, according to JCJ, and is a proud member of JCJ’s Las Vegas studio.
Steven Frazier, AIA, LEED AP—Frazier is a senior project manager with unique insights into design, delivery, documentation and management for a wide range of projects, particularly in retail, gaming and hospitality sectors. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Design from Princeton University, Frazier is a licensed architect in California and has been part of JCJ’s San Diego team since 2021.
Aaron Guthridge—Guthridge is a versatile and energetic architectural designer with eight years of professional practice across various project typologies, including community and sports-related projects, K12 and higher education, as well as hospitality and gaming. Guthridge earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University and has been a member of JCJ since 2019.
Matthew Horn, RA, LEED AP BD+C—Horn is a highly collaborative team member who combines the sensibilities of a technical architect and project manager in his assignments. Having earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma in 2008, Horn is a licensed architect in Oklahoma with more than 15 years of experience. He joined JCJ’s Tulsa office in 2021.
Jennifer Krinsky, RA, LEEP AP—Krinsky is a well-rounded architect with a wealth of experience across a wide range of project types—from K12, higher education and civic to healthcare, gaming and hospitality. Krinsky has collaborated on projects across the nation and is a technical architect of exceptional skill. Krinsky holds both a Bachelor of Building Sciences and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and joined JCJ in 2006.
Hye-Gyeong Lee—An Interior Designer based in JCJ’s San Diego office, Lee primarily focuses on projects within the gaming and hospitality industries. She earned her Bachelor of Interior Design from Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea, and has been a valued member of the JCJ team since 2017.
Keith R. Mercy, AIA, CPHD, MCPPO—With more than 25 years of experience as a project architect and project manager, Mercy has a significant background in projects spanning higher education, police and public safety. Holding a Bachelor of Architecture from Boston Architectural College, Mercy is a registered architect in Massachusetts and joined JCJ in 2022.
