Valencia Hotel Collection promotes Roy Kretschmer to COO

Valencia Hotel Collection (VHC) has promoted Roy Kretschmer to COO – Valencia Hospitality Group.

Previously serving as VHC’s EVP, operations, Kretschmer will continue to spearhead initiatives to optimize business operations and collaborate closely with department heads and supervisors. Part of the larger Valencia Hotel Group, he will support VHC by introducing the portfolio to new markets as well as expanding its property management services.

Kretschmer joined VHC in 2001, as Hotel Valencia Riverwalk’s opening GM. Over the next decade, he worked to develop the company’s portfolio of hotels from the ground up, spanning from San Jose, CA, to College Station, Lubbock, Irving and Austin, TX.

“The past 20 years with Valencia Hotel Collection have been nothing short of spectacular,” said Kretschmer. “I am honored to step into the role of chief operations officer and look forward to our team’s continued success as we look ahead to another twenty years of exceptional, independent hospitality.”
