Premier Inn owner Whitbread has divested its 49% stake in the healthy eating chain Pure. Acquired in 2016 for £6.8m, Whitbread sold its interest to a third party, citing Pure as non-core to its strategic focus. Pure, with 17 cafes in London and Gatwick Airport, operates under Healthy Retail Limited. Whitbread’s decision follows a 44% increase in profits to £391m in the first half of FY23. The company’s total UK accommodation sales rose by 15%, and F&B sales increased by 10%. Whitbread’s sustained high hotel occupancy and strong financial performance contributed to its decision to sell the non-core asset.

Graham and Sibbald have listed the Prince’s House Hotel in Glenfinnan, Scotland, for offers around £500,000. The boutique hotel, known for its nine well-designed rooms and successful F&B business, enjoys a prominent location near the Glenfinnan viaduct. The hotel, a popular tourist destination, has been put up for sale by its owners, Kieron and Ina Kelly, who are retiring after 22 years. The business, thriving with high room occupancy and premium rates, is seen as a profitable venture for potential buyers seeking an established presence in the picturesque location.

Liberty’s on The Square, a Blackpool hotel, has been sold by Coast and Country Collection for an undisclosed sum. Situated near the main promenade, the hotel features 67 ensuite bedrooms, a restaurant, and a bar with a stage and dance floor.
