“Dreams” do come true (sorry)

By now you’ve likely seen the viral TikTok of the blissed-out guy skateboarding to Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” while drinking out of bottle of Ocean Spray cranberry juice. It’s delightful and not only because it’s a feat of coordination that its creator, Nathan Apodaca (a.k.a 420doggface208) is treating like a walk in the park. Let’s watch it again:

The video is so popular that it spawned a host of copycats, including one from Mick Fleetwood himself. Meanwhile, Apodaca revealed that he was only skateboarding that day because his car broke down, so Ocean Spray, thankful for the spontaneous publicity, gifted him with a new, cranberry-colored truck with a truck bed full of bottles of Cran-Raspberry juice.

In a statement to Eater, Tom Hayes, President & CEO of Ocean Spray said, “When we saw Nathan Apodaca’s video and the joy it created, we knew we needed to celebrate him and join in this movement of spreading good vibes worldwide. Yesterday Ocean Spray was humbled to gift Nathan with something of importance to him— a truck we knew he needed. We appreciate Nathan’s positivity, especially during these unprecedented times. I look forward to having a virtual toast with him soon.” Benevolent corporate gifts, they will come and they will go, but at least Apodaca has a new truck.
