The 201-bedroom Voco St John’s Solihull hotel is up for sale at a price of £25m. This freehold property, recently refurbished and rebranded, offers extensive amenities such as a health club with a gym, pool, and spa facilities. It also features a 120-cover restaurant, Brasserie Six5One, a 30-cover bar, and 13 conference rooms, including the Park Suite capable of hosting 700 people. Potential investors can explore asset management opportunities, including energy efficiency improvements and the reinstatement of planning permission for 88 additional bedrooms, making it an attractive prospect for hotel investors.

Global hospitality technology company OYO has introduced the ‘Managed by OYO’ programme. OYO will manage all operational aspects, including guest bookings, housekeeping, and maintenance, offering a flexible engagement term ranging from three to 15 years. The programme currently operates in five hotels and plans to expand to 20 more in major UK cities. OYO aims to ensure optimal property management, helping hotel owners maximise their real estate investments.

The historic Scafell Hotel, set in the Lake District, is on the market for offers around £2.75m. Compass Hospitality, a Bangkok-based hotel management company, has acquired The Esplanade Hotel in Paignton, Devon. The seafront hotel features 84 ensuite bedrooms, ample parking, a ballroom, and a restaurant. Previously accommodating coach groups, it currently houses asylum seekers. The acquisition aligns with Compass Hospitality’s strategy to expand its UK portfolio, and it underscores their commitment to enhancing their collection of UK properties in the dynamic hospitality industry landscape.
