Nominations open for the Independent Hotel Show Awards 2023

Nominations Independent Hotel Show Awards

Stuart Procter (COO, The Stafford) won last year's Independent Hotelier of the Year Award

UK: Nominations for this year’s Independent Hotel Show Awards, which includes the Independent Hotel of the Year and the GM of the Future, are now open with deadlines in mid-June..

The Independent Hotel of the Year award celebrates a hotel which “embodies independent spirit, excellence, and innovation in creating exceptional guest experiences”.

It also recognises a property which “pushes the boundaries of what it means to be an independent hotel”.

A shortlist for the award will be decided by a panel of judges before being opened up to a public vote. The vote, combined with the judge’s votes, will determine the winner.

Glenn Wallace, Independent Hotel Show event manager, said: “We can’t wait to welcome our independent hotelier community back to Olympia London and to shine a light on industry professionals who are passionate about innovation, guest experience and driving meaningful change in the sector.”

Kalindi Juneja, CEO of Pride of Britain Hotels and judge for the 2023 Independent Hotel of the Year award, added: “A daunting task! The UK now has some of the finest independent hotels in the world so it shall certainly not be easy to pick just one.”

Nominations can be submitted here. The winner will be announced at The Independent Hotel Show on Monday 16th October.

A second award – The GM of the Future – will be judged by a panel of Master Innholders. The winner will have the opportunity to develop their skills on the Talent Development Programme at Cranfield University, and will received a complimentary ticker to the Hotel Leadership Conference in 2024.

Nominations for the award must be submitted by Friday 23 June 2023.
