US: The Huntington Hotel in San Francisco has been purchased by hotel management, investment and development company Highgate and hospitality and commercial real estate owner Flynn Properties.
Highgate and Flynn Properties aim to renovate The Huntington’s public areas, guest rooms, the Big 4 Restaurant and Nob Hill Spa. It is expected to reopen in 2025.

Assets within Flynn Properties’ portfolio include the Carneros Resort & Spa and Solage, both located in California’s Napa Valley; Esperanza and Chileno Bay, both located in Los Cabos, Mexico; and the Hotel Madeline in Telluride, Colorado.
The Huntington Hotel is the latest addition to Highgate’s luxury and lifestyle division, which includes over 7,500 keys with 2,100 keys under development. In San Francisco, the group has recently renovated and rebranded the Hyatt Regency SoMa, whilst elsewhere Highgate has completed the renovation of the Newbury Boston and the Knickerbocker Hotel and Park Lane Hotel in New York City.
