Magnuson Hotels expands independent collection

Magnuson Hotels Independent Collection

US: Hotel conversion brand Magnuson Hotels has added two properties to its independent collection in the past two weeks, located in California and North Carolina.

Wafer 450, in Santa Clara (California), marks the fourth hotel from Stay Cal Hospitality to join Magnuson Hotels. It also represents the nineteenth hotel in California which the company represents.

The hotel offers 31 bedrooms and takes its name from the semiconductor industry – a 450 millimetre wafer – which was developed in the local area, in Silicon Valley.

Hiten Suraj, owner of Stay Cal Hospitality, said: “We are happy to have Magnuson Hotels represent and market Wafer 450. In our experience working with the team in the past, we have been impressed by their understanding of the owner’s perspective and their creative revenue strategies. We are confident that this partnership will only grow stronger in the time to come.”

Stay Cal Hospitality partnered with Magnuson Hotels in 2020.

Thomas Magnuson, CEO of Magnuson Hotels, added: “We are proud to be working with Hiten Suraj and his team at Stay Cal Hospitality toward a long-term, sustainable growth path.”

Over in North Carolina, Studios & Suites 4 Less Charlotte has also joined Magnuson’s independent collection. It marks the sixth hotel added to the portfolio by owner Ray Patel.

Patel said: “We appreciate our partnership with Magnuson Hotels, which is now entering its seventeenth year of consecutive increases. It is a pleasure and privilege to continually add new properties in our home market of Charlotte, North Carolina.”

Magnuson Hotels provides the technology, distribution and marketing of hotels across the US and UK, whilst owners manage the brand and operations.
