Japan: Luxury boutique hotel brand TRUNK is set to open its third property in Tokyo next autumn 2023.

Located in the Tomigaya neighbourhood, TRUNK(HOTEL) YOYOGI PARK will offer between 25-30 rooms, a rooftop pool and bar, and an all-day dining restaurant.

The rooftop will provide 360 views of Yoyogi Park – one of Tokyo’s largest parks with a gingko tree forest and home to an event plaza, outdoor stage, and sports stadium leftover from the 1964 Olympics.

TRUNK(HOTEL) YOYOGI PARK will come five years after the brand debuted in Shibuya with TRUNK(HOTEL). The property was designed Mount Fuji Architects with the guest rooms and lounge by Jamo Associates.

Housed in two adjacent four-storey buildings, TRUNK(HOTEL) offers 15 rooms, two dining venues and a lounge, seven event spaces and a rooftop chapel.

TRUNK(HOUSE) marked the second launch for the brand – a two-storey, one-bedroom townhouse hotel offering a private butler and chef service.

Both properties are members of Design Hotels.

Founded by Yoshitaka Nojiri, TRUNK is designed around five pillars: the environment, local first, diversity, health and culture. Nojiri plans to open 26 new hotels by 2030, with two additional hotels already confirmed.
