USA: Hospitality owner, developer and operator Dovetail + Co has launched its second Wayfinder property, located in Honolulu at Ala Wai Boulevard in Waikiki.

Wayfinder Waikiki, managed by Springboard Hospitality, features 228 rooms, three F&B venues, and a 70-foot saltwater pool. The interiors of the property have been led by Honolulu-based design studio, The Vanguard Theory.

The main restaurant Redfish Poke Bar by Foodland will be open all day and serves made-to-order poke dishes. Lost + Found is a tropical speakeasy and pool bar, whereas B-Side is a lobby coffee bar with a retail element.

Activities at the hotel include Ukulele and Hula introduction lessons, Lauhala weaving, and a floral arranging class. The hotel also offers exclusive Oahu experiences with local experts and partners including Moke vehicle rentals and sustainable volunteer experiences.

Phil Hospod, CEO and founder of Dovetail + Co, said: “We’re so excited to be opening our second Wayfinder hotel in the dynamic neighbourhood of Waikiki. Wayfinder Waikiki has been a project we’ve been carefully curating and crafting with talented local based collaborators since its inception to offer a truly unique, boutique hotel and we can’t wait for the community and visitors to check out what Wayfinder is all about. From our speakeasy pool bar at Lost + Found, best poke on island at Redfish, retail shop at B-Side, and eclectic guest programming, we have something to offer everyone.”

Other hotel projects by Dovetail + Co include the Urban Cowboy Lodge in the Catskills Mountains and Cambridge Beaches in Bermuda. Wayfinder Waikiki joins the debut Wayfinder property in Newport, Rhode Island.

Springboard Hospitality, previously known as OLS Hotels & Resorts, operates more than 41 properties across 11 states. The company is led by Ben Rafter and provides operational management, marketing, sales, revenue management, food and beverage services, and more.
