The Old Palace in Chester, a historic Georgian building built in 1751, is on the market for over £4.7m. Following a multi-million-pound restoration completed in 2020, it has been transformed into an award-winning wedding and events venue with 23 ensuite bedrooms and various event spaces. The property has the potential to expand its revenue streams beyond exclusive events to include accommodation and dining.

Tewkesbury Park has appointed Roberto Sanzo as its new restaurant and bars manager. Sanzo, originally from Rome, brings extensive culinary expertise from renowned establishments such as Sofitel and De Russie in Rome. Tewkesbury Park is a hotel, golf, and leisure resort with an 18-hole golf course, meeting spaces, and the Berkeley Bar and Terrace. Sanzo’s dedication to excellence and team development aligns with the hotel’s mission to provide exceptional dining experiences.

The Watermead Guest House in Chard, Somerset, has been sold to Gary Birch and Jamie Tillotson as the previous owners, David and Trudy Cole, retired. The property includes nine letting bedrooms, a residents lounge, breakfast room, conservatory, fully equipped kitchen, and owner’s accommodation. The new owners have exciting plans for redevelopment and aim to maintain the guest house’s reputation for great customer service.

Gareth Ireland has been appointed as the new general manager of Cadbury House. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality sector, Ireland plans to make Cadbury House one of the best venues in the UK. He highlights the venue’s strong elements, including hotel, conference facilities, restaurant, wedding offerings, and health club. Affiliated with the Hilton brand, Cadbury House aims to enhance its service excellence and become a preferred choice for travellers, both for business and leisure. Ireland is excited to work with owner Nick Taplin to realise this vision.
