Martin Sinclair

US: Martin Sinclair has joined Virgin Hotels as corporate director of operations for North America.

Most recently, Sinclair served as general manager of the Hualalai Resort Club in Kona, Hawaii, a property managed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Prior to this, Sinclair has led teams at ten Four Seasons hotels and resorts across seven countries: Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, and St. Kitts-Nevis.

James Bermingham, CEO of Virgin Hotels, said: “Martin is a pivotal addition to the team. His extensive experience, prowess, and genuine passion as a hotelier and business leader makes Martin an incredible asset to our growing assemblage of leadership.”

The current Virgin Hotels’ portfolio includes five properties in Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, New Orleans, Las Vegas, and newly launched in Edinburgh.

Locations in Glasgow and New York City are scheduled to debut in 2023, followed by Miami and Denver in 2025. In addition, the group continues to explore hotel, conversions, and ground-up development in Boston, Los Angeles, Austin, Philadelphia, Seattle, London, and more.

In summer this year, Virgin Hotels partnered with sister brand Virgin Limited Edition to source new global development opportunities.

At the time, Jon Brown, CEO of Virgin Limited Edition, said: “Whilst our brands are very different in their locations and proposition, we both share the same deep-rooted values of the Virgin brand, putting our customers at the very heart of everything we do… by utilising the expertise and resource of the Virgin Hotels development team, it will enable us to identify new opportunities around the world, that are more suitable for our own collection.”
