Wyndham Trenython Manor Hotel

UK: Property consultancy Knight Frank has been appointed to sell the Wyndham Trenython Manor Hotel, a historic manor house hotel and resort in south Cornwall, for offers in excess of £2,750,000.

The Victorian manor house hotel sits on 24 acres of land close to the harbour town of Fowey. It offers 25 guest rooms, two restaurants, a bar, private dining room, conference room, a spa with indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, two treatment rooms, and a gym.

Located within the grounds are 37 self-catering holiday lodges featuring either one or two bedrooms. 35 have been sold to individual owners and 33 provide an income to the resort owner through a leaseback programme.

Two freehold two-bedroom lodges will also be included in the sale.

Matthew Smith, hotels partner at Knight Frank, said: “Wyndham Trenython Manor represents a great opportunity to purchase a well-located restored resort business which benefits from multiple income streams, and also provides several value-add opportunities, to include planning permission for 23 static caravans which could potentially be converted to an additional 11 luxury lodges, which will no doubt enhance the future growth of the business.

“Our clients central accounts office is based at the resort and there are several large office areas located on the ground floor of the hotel that are currently non-income generative and could be reconfigured to provide additional guest bedrooms and food & beverage areas. Overall, the hotel offers the potential to create an award-winning holiday destination on the south Cornish coast.”
