Park House Hotel Shifnal unveils £250k refurbishment

An additional £150,000 is also being spent on solar panels and a green energy strategy

The Crest Hotels Group has completed a further £250k refurbishment programme at its Shropshire-based hotel, The Park House Hotel.

The Park House Hotel Shifnal was originally bought by the Crest Hotels Group in 2021 and has already benefited from a £200,000 investment last year to improve the back of house areas, kitchens and information technology.

An additional £150,000 is also being spent on solar panels and a green energy strategy.

Currently, a significant £250,000 injection of funds has ensured the lounge, bar and restaurant areas have been modernised to “exacting standards” of Crest Hotels.

The refurbished hotel also features tones of bronze, blues, browns and orange, and includes an “eclectic” mix of furnishings, lighting and seating including booths.

Crest Hotels boasts a portfolio of eight properties across the UK.

Dan Richards, general manager of the Park House Hotel Shifnal, said: “Crest Hotels have a vision of elegance, quality and comfort and what we have achieved here really does embrace each sentiment perfectly. Guests are already commenting on the transformation and so we can’t wait to welcome even more to experience the new customer journey we are offering.

“Each touch point in the public spaces have been brought to life and we know will be welcomed by those visiting; whether they are popping in for a cocktail in our new trendy bar, a bride and groom saying I do or a corporate guest benefitting from the free WiFi and USB charging points in the lounge area.”

Andre Pelaud, head chef at Park House Hotel Shifnal, added: “The much-needed modernisation to the public spaces has also been well received by both our leisure and business guests utilising the open plan workspace and has put us in prime position to drive both tourism and business to the Shropshire economy.

“In addition, we’ve introduced a Starbucks concession for coffee and improved and increased our overall food and beverage offering with a new all-day dining menu served from 12 – 9pm in the modern lounge, as well as an extensive drinks and cocktail menu that will be open to residents and non-residents alike in our on-trend bar area.”
