Aynsome Manor Hotel, a historic Lake District property dating back to circa 1735, has been sold for £1.15m. Owner Chris Varley, who held the business for 42 years, decided to retire, and the property, featuring 10 en-suite bedrooms and two two-bedroom cottages, maintains its historic charm. Neil Thomson from Colliers facilitated the sale, expressing confidence in the hotel’s continued success.

Kate Darby, health club manager at Romans Health and Leisure Spa in Sketchley Grange Hotel and Spa, was named ‘Manager of the Year’ by 3D Leisure. The spa is also a finalist for the Health Club of the Year award. Darby’s exceptional management skills and commitment to member well-being set her apart among 141 nominees. Philharmonic Hotel, a new boutique hotel at 30 Hope Street in Liverpool, has officially opened with 17 rooms, including a bridal suite, featuring high-spec furnishings. Owned by Brian and Shez Blundell, the hotel also houses the Thai Fusion Pianos restaurant. The restaurant serves a mix of authentic and contemporary Thai dishes, along with traditional roast dinners every Sunday and a full English breakfast daily. The owners express their excitement about creating an elegant and sophisticated space for special occasions, already receiving positive responses and bookings for Christmas Day Lunch and New Year’s Eve.
