EMEA: Hotel brand management company SH Hotels & Resorts names Robert Koren as SVP and area managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
SH Hotels & Resorts have announced the launch of a European corporate office led by Koren. He is the new senior vice president and area managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where the group is planning to expand.
Koren will oversee the hotels and resorts’ operations, development, and owner relationships in the region. He will specifically be taking care of the launch of Skt Petri Copenhagen which is being converted to 1 Hotel Copenhagen, as well as 1 Hotel Mayfair and Treehouse Manchester.
Throughout his international career, Koren has opened hotels such as St. Regis in New York, Florence, Rome, and the Hotel Cala di Volpe in Costa Smeralda.
In February 2017, Koren started working at Belmond, overseeing properties in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
