Hyatt outlines expansion for Independent Collection

Worldwide: Hyatt has announced the global expansion of its Independent Collection brands, including The Unbound Collection, Destination by Hyatt, and Jdv by Hyatt. 

The Unbound Collection currently comprises 35 properties with further new additions next year. Openings include:

• NUMU (Mexico) – a 44-room boutique hotel slated to open in early 2023. It has three onsite ding venues and offers a room key in Apple Wallet.

• Grand Hansa Hotel (Finland) – expected to open in summer next year, the opening will mark the first Hyatt branded hotel in Finland. It will offer 219 rooms and five suites.

• Under development (Switzerland) – a 41-room boutique hotel, set to join The Unbound Collection in December 2023.

• Noor-Us-Sabah Palace (India) – the hotel will undergo refurbishment and will relaunch as a 60-room heritage hotel in 2025. 

Hyatt also plans to add its second property under The Unbound Collection in Tokyo (Japan) next year.

Destination by Hyatt is a collection of more than 55 independent hotels, resorts and residences. Upcoming launches include:

• Banyan Cay Resort and Golf (Florida) – expected to open in summer 2023, the 18-hole golf resort will mark the entry of the Destination brand in Florida. 

• The Grand Resort Qingchengshan (China) – the 231-room resort is located in the vicinity of two UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

JdV by Hyatt offers more than 20 hotels and the pipeline includes:

• The Pell (Rhode Island) – marking the first JdV by Hyatt in Rhode Island, the property sits close to beaches, historic landmarks, walking trails and more.

• FirstName Bordeaux (France) – the 147-room hotel is slated to open in early 2023. 

FILA HOUSE Shanghai (China) – opening in 2024, it will become the first FILA-branded hotel in the world.

Hyatt also recently announced an exclusive collaboration agreement with Lindner Hotels, relating to the Lindner Hotels & Resorts and the me and all hotels brands, which is expected to add more than 30 hotels of approximately 5,500 rooms to Hyatt’s portfolio. The majority of these hotels will be included within the JdV brand.
