Kimpton Clocktower appoints hotel manager

UK: Konstantin Grimm has been named hotel manager of the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.

Grimm bings over 16 years of experience to the role, having previously worked with Conrad and Hilton Hotels. Since joining Kimpton Clocktower, he has already developed new partnerships with The Great North Pie Company, Track Brewery, Pollen Bakery and others to widen the hotels F&B offering.

Kimpton Clocktower is housed in a Grade II-listed building and offers 270 bedrooms including 11 suites. The Refuge is the hotel’s bar and restaurant which is divided into five areas: the 139-cover Dining Room, the Public Bar, a Winter Garden housed inside a glass atrium, The Den complete with private bar, table football, pool and big screen, as well as The Terrace, a covered outdoor dining area with room for up to 150 people.

Speaking about his appointment, Grimm said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel team and I’m looking forward to bringing my hospitality expertise to the role. Kimpton Clocktower Hotel is iconic in Manchester and part of the city’s DNA. I look forward to developing partnerships throughout the city and most importantly producing exceptional results and memorable stays for our guests.”

Grimm will work alongside general Johan Scheepers to oversee the hotel’s operations. Scheepers said: “Konstantin will be a great edition to the team here at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel. His experience and his commercial awareness will be invaluable, and I am looking forward to working with him.”
