US: Digital check-in and concierge provider Virdee has integrated with operations platform Cloudbeds.
The Virdee Virtual Reception provides a contactless check-in experience for hotel and vacation rental guests. Via a mobile phone or kiosk, guests will be able to receive a digital or physical key and head straight to their accommodation.
Applications within the Cloudbeds and Virdee platform can ask help hoteliers and hosts automate tasks, and sync with Cloudbeds’ PMS, channel management, booking engine and payment solutions.
Virdee co-founder Nadav Cornberg said: “The integration and partnership with Cloudbeds means [our solutions] are now available to a much wider number of lodging providers, from independent hotels to bed and breakfasts of all sizes. In turn, more travellers can expect better experiences along their guest journey, including personalised offers, an improved welcome experience and digital room access.”

Last year, Virdee raised $2 million on top of a previous $2 million in financing from September 2020, which takes the total seed round investment in the company to $4 million to date.
