UK: Global luxury hospitality brand Virgin Hotels has appointed Abigail Trangmar as director of global sales for the United Kingdom.
In her new role, Trangmar will oversee sales initiatives and cross-collaborate with stakeholders across Virgin Group to drive revenue growth and expand brand presence for Virgin Hotels within the UK market.
Trangmar joins Virgin Hotels from Virgin Atlantic Holidays where she spent six years as destination manager. During this time, she worked with tourist boards and managed the group’s partnerships.
Prior to her time with Virgin, Trangmar held various roles with Trailfinders, a global tour operator and creator of travel itineraries.
Speaking about her appointment, Trangmar said: “Joining Virgin Hotels is an incredible opportunity, and I look forward to working alongside a group of talented professionals who are dedicated to creating innovative and unforgettable travel experiences. I’m excited to tap into my extensive experience to raise the brand profile within the UK.”

Edinburgh marked the first UK location for the Virgin Hotels brand, with a second site in Glasgow scheduled to debut in 2023. Virgin Hotels is exploring additional hotel, conversions, and ground-up developments in London.
