Worldwide: Travel technology startup hivr.ai has integrated with meetings and events technology provider Cvent to automate the RFP process.

A first iteration of the integration is expected to launch in the first half of 2023. It will allow hivr.ai users to automate responses to meeting and group booking requests coming from Cvent.

Event planners which use Cvent will have access to room rates and availability for hotel rooms, meeting space, food and beverage, as well as equipment, across all hotels using hivr.ai.

In addition, hivr.ai synchronises the data coming from Cvent with the hotel’s PMS and sales and catering systems.

The first hotel group to leverage the integration will be NH Hotel Group, part of Minor Hotels, which operates more than 350 hotels in 33 countries.

Felix Undeutsch, co-founder of hivr.ai, said: “We are very excited about the partnership. When it comes to automation and digitisation, the meetings and groups category still lags behind other travel sectors such as corporate and leisure. This partnership addresses that and creates significant benefits for both hotels and event planners through automation, such as increasing response rates, which in turn helps hoteliers drive more revenue.”

Jim Abramson, VP of product management at Cvent, said: “We’re thrilled to announce this integration with hivr.ai, which further digitises and automates the meeting and group RFP process. We are proud to partner with companies like hivr.ai to bring true innovation to our industry and further enhance the collaboration between meeting planners and hotels and venues.”

hivr.ai was founded in October 2019 by four former Expedia executives supported by four additional software developers. The company’s SaaS (software as a service) solution is offered to hotel partners at a monthly fee.
