Linthwaite House, a luxury Lake District hotel, has welcomed two new chefs to lead its culinary offerings. Head chef Gerald Van Der Walt will oversee the informal bar and conservatory menus, while head chef Mark McCabe will helm Simon Rogan’s Henrock restaurant. Van Der Walt brings experience from top establishments in South Africa and Rogan’s restaurants, offering relaxed, British-inspired fare. McCabe, with a sustainability focus honed at Michelin-starred venues, will deliver globally influenced dishes at Henrock. Mar Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa Resort has unveiled plans for a luxury spa and leisure facilities revamp, showcasing CGI images of the envisioned gym and pool areas. Designed by Curveline Design with input from fitness brand Primal, the revamped gym will feature modern equipment and versatile spaces for group classes and personal training. Palé Hall Ltd has announced the sale of its freehold for £6m, showcasing the historic Palé Hall Hotel and Restaurant nestled in North Wales’ scenic Dee Valley. The property, boasting AA five red star status, underwent significant refurbishment in 2015 and features luxurious accommodations, dining venues, and landscaped gardens. With additional potential for development, including plans for spa facilities or additional guest rooms, the property presents an enticing investment opportunity. Savills handled the sale, highlighting the property’s unique appeal and strong return potential in the luxury hospitality market.

Aparthotel provider Adagio celebrated a record-breaking 2023 with a surge in occupancy rates to 79% and 1.7 million guests welcomed across its network of 130 properties. With expansions in France, Belgium, and upcoming openings, including a site in London’s Whitechapel, Adagio continues its growth trajectory towards 200 aparthotels by 2028.
