UK’s first vegan hotel brought to market for £950k

The hotel is being sold to allow the current owners to move on to another project and pursue overseas business interests.

Saorsa 1875 in Pitlochry has been brought to market, inviting offers of around £950,000.

Saorsa is the UK’s first fully plant-based hotel and restaurant and features a Victorian baronial gothic style building, which is set in a private garden and woodland ground approximately 1.8 acres.

The hotel, which opened in 2019, has been extensively upgraded and refurbished to provide 11 boutique-style bedrooms. The hotel also includes a lounge bar, snug/private dining room and restaurant.

Additionally, the property also boasts mature gardens and a large yurt, ideal for yoga and wellness retreats and other private functions.

Alistair Letham, hotel and leisure consultant with Graham + Sibbald, who is assisting with the sale, said: “Saorsa 1875 is an exceptional hotel delightfully refurbished to a great boutique hotel standard in a wonderful trading location. The current business model sets Saorsa 1875 on its own pedestal and new owners can continue and expand on what has been created with the vegan business; or very easily open out the business to a wider offering.”
