HIIVE Binh Duong

Vietnam: Wellness hospitality company Fusion Hotel Group has announced three openings over the next 12 months, including the brand launch of HIIVE in Binh Duong.

Fusion Hotel Group manages 22 properties throughout Vietnam and Thailand across nine brands.

HIIVE, designed for the business traveller, is set to debut in Binh Duong in Vietnam and marks the first of the three upcoming openings.

It will feature 172 keys, a range of meeting facilities and coworking spaces, a golf simulator, 24-hour fitness centre, and a sports bar.

Also in Vietnam, Fusion Resort & Villas Danang is scheduled to open in autumn 2023. The 242-room resort will offer 85 private villas ranging from one to six bedrooms, four dining venues, and the Maia Spa & Wellness Centre where guests will receive a complimentary treatment.

Fusion Suites Hanoi is set to open in early 2024 and marks Fusion’s first appearance in the Vietnamese capital. Part of a mixed-use development and shopping mall, the new 238-key property has been designed for extended stays; each room comes equipped with a kitchenette and laundry facilities, and larger guest rooms offer living and dining areas.

The property features a full spa and Japanese-style onsen, along with the brand’s signature healthy restaurant concept, Fresh.

Christopher Hur, president of Lodgis Hospitality Holdings, the parent company of Fusion, said: “We are encouraged by the signs of positive recovery in travel as witnessed in our existing portfolio over the past six months or so. This year, we remain sanguine on the further robust pick up in regional travel and tourism. As corporate and leisure travellers take to the skies more frequently, we are well-positioned to meet their needs with our diverse, distinct and growing portfolio.”

Peter Meyer, CEO of Lodgis and Fusion Hotel Group, said: “In recent years, wellness is becoming a central guest priority and at Fusion it is, and always has been, part of who we are since our 2008 founding. We were the first in Vietnam to launch an all-inclusive spa concept and we are dedicated to creating wellness-inspired lodging products geared to our guests’ well-being and health, whether their travel is for pleasure or work.”

Meyer added: “Our expansion is part of our group’s long-term goal of regionally establishing our unique brand. With our roots and established Vietnam business, we will grow our presence in the country off the back of its macroeconomic growth and favourable demographics. Beyond Vietnam, we are targeting to grow our Thailand platform as well as near-term expansion in southeast Asia.”
