Kronen Hotels Ltd has acquired the luxury boutique hotel Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle, a Grade-II listed Arts and Crafts mansion. The off-market deal was made by private investors who plan to expand the hotel’s reputation as a high-quality hotel, restaurant, and events venue. Independent hotel broker Simon Stevens Associates represented the sellers, who operated the hotel since 2005. The buyer, Kronen Hotels Ltd, is excited about the hotel’s unique position in Newcastle and intends to build upon its foundations.
The Lawton & Lauriston Court Hotel in Llandudno, UK, has been sold to regional hotel operator Four Saints Hotels. The Victorian seafront hotel, with 35 bedrooms, overlooks Llandudno Bay and will be a valuable addition to Four Saints Hotels’ portfolio. The sale was facilitated by Graham + Sibbald, and the buyer, Dr. Shoukry Rozek, expressed enthusiasm for this top-end establishment.
Mondrian Shoreditch in East London is set to open the Blue Marlin Ibiza London Private Members’ Club, a beach club and lifestyle brand. It will feature a rooftop terrace with a Japanese restaurant and bar, fusion cuisine, signature cocktails, a nightclub venue, co-working space, gym, and spa. A major budget hotel in Belfast, the 146-bedroom ETAP Hotel, is up for sale for offers exceeding £7.175m. The hotel is currently leased to Accor UK Business and Leisure Hotels Limited, and it is conveniently located within walking distance of Belfast’s main transportation hubs and city centre. Gavin Elliott, senior director at CBRE Northern Ireland, considers this an exciting opportunity in Belfast’s flourishing hotel sector, with increasing occupancy levels and record-high room rates. The hotel, already occupied by a globally recognised brand, is situated in a well-established commercial and leisure district at the heart of the city centre.
