The new citizenM hotel, situated at Meta's campus designed by Frank Gehry, showcases the brand's signature high-tech style. This 32nd global property, developed with the architectural expertise of concrete and Baskervill, utilized sustainable modular construction methods.
The project began in 2016 when Meta (formerly Facebook) sought a hotel developer for its campus. After competing against 18 brands, citizenM was chosen. The hotel, spanning 79,400 square feet with 240 guestrooms, uniquely integrates modern, luxurious modular rooms, reducing both waste and construction time.
Robin Chadha, chief brand officer of citizenM, expressed excitement about the opening of their new hotel in Menlo Park, noting its status as a major tech hub. He highlighted citizenM's unique design, which caters to both remote and in-person work with private areas and societyM meeting rooms, offering a distinct experience for Meta employees and others.
