Danbury, Conn. - Properties operated by Meyer Jabara Hotels continue to win awards. Recently the Delta Hotel by Marriott Allentown was selected by the Small Business Council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce as the winner of its “Excellent Emerging Business” award, presented to a business less than three years old. The honor was awarded for the hotel’s outstanding business practices as demonstrated by their mission, Chamber and community involvement, customer satisfaction, and commitment to quality, leadership, marketing, training, and development.

Meyer Jabara Hotels Regional Vice President and General Manager Denise Maiatico accepted the award on behalf of the property, located at 7736 Adrienne Drive, Breinigsville, Penn. The full-service hotel is one of the newest in Breinigsville, holding its grand re-opening in January 2023. The Delta by Marriott Allentown is designed with frequent business and leisure travelers in mind. Situated in the heart of Lehigh Valley, the hotel is accessible from three major highways and is just a short distance to Lehigh Valley International Airport and has easy access to the best of everything the three cities in the region have to offer.

We are humbled to be recognized with this award, Maiatico said. As a Marriott property, the brand surveys our guests and evaluates their experience in everything from service to cleanliness and facilities design and maintenance. We started 2023 ranked No. 1 of all Delta Hotels in the U.S. and Canada, and currently have a service score far exceeding the brand average. In today’s new normal, this is an arduous task as travelers’ demands change daily. We are actively engaged in this community and are always seeking opportunities to make a difference and demonstrate hospitality within our facility and our surrounding area. It is gratifying that our efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Kevin Cope, founder and CEO of the Lehigh Valley Business Group, VALOR Clinic Foundation, nominated Meyer Jabara Hotels for this honor. He said winning this award is a true testament to Meyer Jabara Hotels’ community support.

It is with great pleasure that we nominated Meyer Jabara Hotels for the Excellent Emerging Business Award, Cope said. They are a great community supporter of many nonprofit organizations. Recently MJ held a flashlight and battery drive for the VALOR Clinic Foundation; they collected more than 300 new flashlights and batteries to be handed out to our homeless veterans and homeless populations. Over the years, they have been engaged with our nonprofit in helping with various collections of items, including 1,200 pairs of socks for women and children in need. We are ever so grateful for their contributions as these are a highly sought after and needed item for when we connect with homeless veterans in our communities.

Denise Maiatico has been a long supporter of assisting many nonprofits over the years, he said. MJ always goes above and beyond to provide hope to others in our community. H.O.P.E. – means Helping Other People Everyday. I wish them much success. They are truly a wonderful community partner in bringing a positive difference to others.

Recently, Delta by Marriott Allentown partnered with BEHR paint’s fresh artist initiative to support art programs in needy schools. The property also partnered with Lehigh Valley technical institute to support a work experience program for challenged students where they visited the hotel each week and worked with team members to learn skills and understand how to behave and succeed in a professional work environment.

Meyer Jabara Hotels is committed to developing happy associates; it’s as much of a priority as ensuring that we have happy guests, Maiatico said. Earlier this year we partnered with Unifocus to survey our associates to evaluate their satisfaction, as well as areas where we can continue to improve our internal excellence and work environment. Results show our employees are happy. When employees are happy, they are willing to go above and beyond what is required of them day to day; that includes getting involved in the community and helping anyone who needs assistance. We could not be prouder of the associates at Delta by Marriott Allentown and we commend them for their hard work and dedication to guests and others.
