Virgin Hotels Edinburgh unveils final phase of opening

The final phase of the launch will see the opening of the hotel’s 222 Chambers and Grand Chamber Suites, as well as all dining outlets including, the hotel's flagship restaurant, Commons Club

Virgin Hotels Edinburgh was officially opened on Friday (24 March) by Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, marking the final phase of the hotel’s launch, which opened its doors in June 2022. 

Located in the centre of Edinburgh’s Old Town, the final phase of the launch will see the opening of the hotel’s 222 Chambers and Grand Chamber Suites, as well as all dining outlets including, the hotel’s flagship restaurant, Commons Club; Eve, an all-day dining space; Greyfriars Hall, a 19th-Century church that has been restored and repurposed as a special event venue, and an exclusive rooftop terrace with unobstructed Edinburgh Castle views. 

Since opening, the hotel has been named one of the ‘Best New Hotels in the World’ by Travel and Leisure and voted one of the ‘Best Hotels to Stay in Edinburgh for 2023’ by Conde Nast Traveller.
