We'll get right to it: This studio is cozy. As in, the bathtub is in the kitchen level of cozy. But the views from the clawfoot tub make up for it, and if you're looking for a night or two away in the Hollywood Hills, this is an enchanting place to retreat. (It also must be reached by a set of 65 steps, so you'll want to pack relatively lightly, and know that it's not suited to those with accessibility concerns.) There's also a patio with a large swinging daybed, outdoor shower, and panoramic views of the city and the Pacific Ocean. The airy, well-designed beach house has just one bedroom, making it perfect for a couple's retreat or anniversary weekend. But space is of no concern—the open-floor living space, large wooden deck, and well-appointed kitchen mean you never have to leave. Bonus: Previous guests say they've seen pods of dolphins and seals from the beach house's deck. We can only imagine the sunsets.

Kids can romp around in the bunk bed room (one of the bathrooms has a tub, too), play in the fully fenced-in backyard, and crash on the living room's bean bag sofa. The home's listing says it can sleep six, but we'd stick with four—parents in the queen bed, kids in the two bunks—for more space.
