Omni Hotels & Resorts introduces their newest hotel with top-of-the-class guest rooms, grade-A restaurants, bars, pool deck, the largest ballroom in Tempe and more.

The intersection of University Drive and Mill Avenue in Downtown Tempe just became the center of attention with the opening of Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU. The latest lifestyle hotel from Omni Hotels & Resorts welcomed its first guests today, bringing the brand's modern elegance and elevated experiences to the city while adding more than 300 guest rooms and a dynamic mix of restaurant, bar, and events spaces that will serve as a social hub for the community.

The hotel is a $125 million investment and part of a public-private partnership with Arizona State University (ASU) and the City of Tempe. In celebration of this highly anticipated opening, the property held a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday where Peter Strebel, General Manager Todd Gagnon, Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, and ASU President Michael Crow addressed the crowd.

Design elements pull from Tempe's cultural landscape, integrating ASU's modern, industrial feel with the serenity of the Sonoran Desert. Each of the 330 guest rooms and 11 suites are steeped in earthy textures and urban comforts and nearly 36,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, including the largest ballroom in Tempe, set a new wave for conferences and events.

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU will be instrumental in reviving downtown's attractiveness as both a tourism and business destination. Additionally, the hotel brings four new culinary outlets to the neighborhood serving locally inspired cuisine, including:

  • Lucero Rooftop: A sky-high bar and restaurant where bold design emulates the starry night sky, the rooftop destination provides the ideal vantage point to witness iconic sunsets while sipping craft cocktails and savoring inventive bites.
  • Neighborhood Services: Serving up honest food & drink in the American Tradition, Neighborhood Services, a concept by acclaimed Chef Nick Badovinus, will offer rotating daily favorites, house craft cocktails and more.
  • Salt & Gila: Buzzing and lively, the third-floor pool bar is ideal for all day libations or cozy fireside evenings, making Salt & Gila the best place to engage, connect and unwind.
  • Library Rules: Mornings start here with a specialty cup of coffee paired with sweet pastries before transitioning into night where guests indulge in light bites and savory wines from a unique vineyard halfway around the globe.
