A historic Grade II listed building adjacent to Manchester Victoria Station, Parkers Hotel, has been put up for sale with an asking price of £14m. Originally built in the early 1900s as the headquarters of the Cooperative Insurance Society, the property was converted into residential apartments in the 1990s. It currently offers 106 residential units ranging from studios to two-bedroom apartments, along with amenities such as a health clinic, gym, and dance studio. Situated in Manchester city centre, the property is located near the NOMA district and is within walking distance of major attractions and transportation hubs. Prospective buyers are expected to show interest in its income potential and possibilities for asset management and redevelopment.

Hydes Brewery’s The Abel Heywood, a pub and boutique hotel in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, has closed for a £200k interior refurbishment after a decade of trading. The renovation includes updates to seating, decor, external signage, and the bar area. Despite the closure, the on-site boutique hotel, known for its high occupancy rate, will remain open during the refurbishment. General manager Alex Allan, who has been with the venue since its acquisition and transformation, expressed pride in its role within the Northern Quarter and anticipation for the makeover.

Lifestyle hotel brand Miiro has unveiled its senior management team ahead of launching new properties across Europe, including the Templeton Garden hotel in London. Led by CEO Neena Gupta, the team consists of industry experts tasked with establishing and managing the brand’s presence in Europe. With plans for a London hotel featuring 156 rooms, a café, restaurant, bar, and garden, Miiro aims to offer “Brilliantly Considered Stays” and set a new benchmark in the industry.
