The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company has announced the appointment of Andrew Wanless as its new group talent development manager.

Joining from Grantley Hall where he was training manager, Wanless brings with him upwards of 12 years’ experience handling people development across the hospitality sector.

In his previous position, he was responsible for bringing to life the Grantley Hall Academy, a program designed to offer new and existing team members the chance to learn and develop.

Between 2018–2020, Wanless was at leading hotel management and advisory company, Michels and Taylor, where he was responsible for all F&B related training within 16 hotels.

Furthermore, between 2017–2018, he was responsible for restaurant operational excellence at Bourne Leisure – Haven.

Wanless said: “I’m joining The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company at a pinnacle time as we aim to develop our talent development offering with a more holistic approach.
