Sonas Hotel Collection appoints first ‘head of people’

Sonas Hotel Collection, a group of hotels on the Isle of Skye, has announced the appointment of Joeseph Carroll as its first ‘head of people’.

In his new role, Carroll will oversee the HR requirements and people development across Sonas Hotel’s focusing on training, recruitment and retention.

Carroll brings extensive HR experience and knowledge in the hospitality industry having worked for some of the UK’s most prominent hotels and restaurants during his 13-year career including Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin, YOTEL and Cote Restaurants.

Sonas Hotel Collection is the largest hospitality employer on the Isle of Skye, and the addition of Carroll is aimed at further strengthening the company’s continued investment into staff training and development.

Andreas Maszczyk, group general manager for the Sonas Hotel Collection, said:“It’s going to be an exciting year for the Sonas brand with significant growth plans due to be announced in early 2023. As such, we are focusing even more investment on expanding our dynamic team and supporting training and development within the company.
