Adam Davie, general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Oxford Belfry has mapped out a refreshed vision for the resort following a recent refurbishment and relaunch.

DoubleTree by Hilton Oxford Belfry is a four-star hotel that offers 154 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar alongside 17-acres of gardens. It also recently underwent a 500k refurbishment of its conference areas and restaurant and bar.

Davie has 25 years of experience in the hospitality and leisure industry, working at Hilton Resorts, Sofitel and InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in Australia, Hong Kong, China and Japan.

Following the refurbishment he has set out a new phase of development for the hotel which will be “driven by team members” and will also see the hotel support its local community alongside further refurbishments.

Davies revealed that expectations have changed following Covid, and recruitment has proven difficult post-Brexit, however, the hotel is working hard to overcome this industry challenge and focus on the development and retention of good team members.

Davie said: “We’ve invested over £500k in our conference areas, restaurant, bar, and coffee machines to show our commitment to our guests – offering an exceptional experience. We also provide additional amenities such as car charging points, private dining areas and social spaces for corporate events.

“We’re planning further investments in the hotel refurbishments, including bedrooms, events spaces and conference facilities – there’s still plenty more to come.”

Looking ahead, DoubleTree by Hilton Oxford Belfry remains dedicated to supporting its local community. The hotel has also confirmed partnerships with organisations like the RedKite Foundation, aiming to help struggling families, join local sustainability programmes and donate essential hygiene products to local homeless charities.
