Marriott is set to introduce its vibrant W hotel brand to Ras Al Khaimah's Al Marjan Island, an emerging mega-resort destination in the UAE.

The W Al Marjan Island is scheduled to open its doors in 2027, coinciding with the launch of the Wynn integrated resort. This Marriott-managed property is a result of a partnership with Dalands Holding and Marjan, the main developer of the island.

Featuring 300 rooms and suites, all with unobstructed views of the sea, the resort's design will include various spaces such as the Living Room, WET deck, W Lounge, AWAY Spa, and FIT fitness centre. Additionally, the property is expected to house three restaurants and some retail spaces. The expansion of the hotel portfolio in the northern emirate is a significant factor contributing to the increase in visitor numbers. Ras Al Khaimah has previously announced the addition of Nobu Al Marjan Island (300 keys) in 2026, Westin Resort (257 keys) in 2024, Le Méridien Al Marjan Island Resort (350 keys), and Earth Shore Al Marjan Island (265 keys) in 2025. Moreover, with the planned openings of Anantara Mina Al Arab (174 keys) and Sofitel Al Hamra (300 keys) this year, along with several other internationally renowned brands in the near future, the emirate aims to double its hotel capacity in the coming years.
