Meliá PRO, the professional channel of Meliá Hotels International, addressed to travel agencies, businesses, tour operators, and meeting and event organisers, grew by 67% in 2022 and its good recovery rate is continuing in 2023. In the last quarter of the year, the company expects the business trip segment to equal the historical results of 2019.

At global level, according to the 2023 SAP Concur Global Business Travelers Report, corporate trips all over Europe will grow this year by 25.3% vs. 2022, and a survey by Cvent reveals that a vast majority of corporate travel managers are expecting a rise in the volume of their organisations' business trips. Furthermore, according to the latest forecast of the Global Business Travel Association, business trips are recovering faster than anticipated and global business travel spending is expected to recover to pre-pandemic figures in 2024.

Meliá is starting the new season by continuing to promote business trips with its Meliá PRO Business Traveller: Benefits & Rewards programme, which offers exclusive rates with discounts of up to 20%. The programme adapts to the needs of today's business travellers by providing multiple benefits during their stay and enabling them to earn MeliáRewards points, which they can use on their leisure trips.

The Meliá PRO Business Traveller: Benefits & Rewards programme, available in nearly 80 of the company's hotels, does not only offer exclusive rates to Meliá PRO users, it also offers numerous benefits such as a specialised B2B booking service, online check-in, priority access, access to working areas and premium Wi-Fi, complimentary bottle of water, vertical iron available in the room on request, room and restaurant service with a discount, tea and coffee station for early departures, takeaway breakfast ready for when the traveller leaves (for rates that include breakfast), express check out and the possibility to earn MeliáRewards points with corporate trips that can be used when travelling for leisure.

In addition, Meliá PRO will also hold a draw for a million points of its loyalty programme –worth €5,000- for all travellers who make their booking with a corporate code before 31 December 2023. Every trip counts, so each booking increases the possibility of winning.

Companies that do not have a corporate code may apply for one at meliapro.com and the bookings may be made via Meliá's direct channels (melia.com, APP or Customer Service & Contact Centre) or through their regular travel agency.
