AUSTRALIA: TFE Hotels is to open two hotels in Australia and make its debut in Switzerland early next year.
The Adina Apartment Hotel Pentridge Melbourne and the Vibe Hotel Adelaide will both open in February. The third Adina property will open in Geneva, Switzerland in March.
TFE Hotels Group chief operating officer, Chris Sedgwick said: “In just 13 months, Adina – which is a proud, homegrown Australian brand – has launched the Vibe and Adina brands in Singapore and, with six new builds, expanded its portfolio in Europe to a total of 17 hotels. In Europe, this represents a growth of almost 50 per cent, not least of all in Germany, where Adina Hotels is now represented in the eight largest German cities and all regions and is the market leader in the future serviced apartments sector.”
Adina Apartment Hotel Pentridge Melbourne, is located at the historic site of Pentridge Prison in Coburg, 8km north of the CBD. The 110-key aparthotel is part of mixed use development, which includes residential apartments, shopping, dining, and an outdoor cinema.
Vibe Adelaide will offer 123 hotel rooms and features a suspended bridge pool that connects the hotel to the neighbouring One Apartments.
TFE makes its Switzerland debut with the opening of Adina Apartment Hotel Geneva in March. The aparthotel will offer 140 guestrooms – including studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Hotel developer, PG Promotors SA, and owner, Claude Berda, are creating a mixed-use district around the aparthotel offering retail and office spaces, a medical centre, student residences, a conference centre, and three hotels.
Sedgwick added: “Overseas guests accounted for 82 per cent of approximately 3 million overnight stays in 2017, however, the city has a very low proportion of apartment hotels to best cater to this style of traveller. The fact that the market is not competitive in this space gives us an opportunity to position Adina Hotels as a long-term market leader in Switzerland, with Zurich, Basel and Lucerne other potential locations in the future.”
Earlier this year TFE Hotels announced the opening of two hotels in Singapore under its Adina and Vibe brands.
