Daish’s Holidays appoints GM of Bournemouth Sands Hotel

In his new role as general manager, Dan Gates will head a 33-strong team at the 76-room Bournemouth Sands Hotel 

Independent family-owned coach holiday group, Daish’s Holidays has appointed Dan Gates as general manager at the Bournemouth Sands Hotel based on West Cliff, Bournemouth.  

With more than 20 years’ experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, Gates returns to Daish’s Holidays having had a year away from the company. Originally joining Daish’s Holidays in 2010 as bartender and night porter, he progressed through the ranks of the hotel, becoming assistant manager in 2014 at the Bournemouth Sands Hotel.

In his new role as general manager, Gates will head a 33-strong team at the 76-room Bournemouth Sands Hotel, and his main responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the hotel operations including guest services, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, catering, as well as recruitment and training.
