Somerset Hotel in Llandudno appoints new general manager

Steve Slater, who joined the company in 2021, has more than 12 years of hospitality industry experience

Independent family-owned coach holiday group, Daish’s Holidays, has promoted Steve Slater to the role of general manager of the Somerset Hotel in Llandudno.

Slater, formerly the assistant manager at the hotel, has more than 12 years of hospitality industry experience and since joining the company in 2021 has shown rapid progress. 

As general manager he now heads a 31-strong team at the 84-room Somerset Hotel, and his main responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the hotel operations including guest services, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, catering, as well as recruitment and training.

Regarding his appointment, Slater said: “I’m very pleased that I have been given the opportunity to manage the Somerset Hotel and am looking forward to ensuring all our customers receive the best possible service.”
