Atrium names Panzer SVP, capital investment strategies

Michael Panzer has joined Atrium Hospitality as SVP, capital investment strategies. He will serve on the company’s executive committee and reports to Rob Mangiarelli, president, Atrium Hospitality.

In his new role, Panzer will oversee the development of Atrium’s design and project management strategies to facilitate the company’s capital investment objectives. He will also oversee the capital planning function and facilities management of all properties managed by the company and affiliates.

Panzer brings 15-plus years of international management experience spanning the hospitality, entertainment and retail industries to his leadership role at Atrium. He’s successfully led all facets of multimillion-dollar real estate acquisition, design, construction, maintenance and renovation projects, according to the company.

Prior to joining Atrium, he served as VP, design and construction at G6 Hospitality, where he oversaw end-to-end operations for project management and brand standards of 400-plus owned and 1,110-plus franchised properties. His career as a design and construction executive includes serving as CEO at SBS Project Management, where he executed capital improvements for clients valued at $850 million. His hospitality career journey also includes his role as SVP, architecture, construction & capital projects at Innkeepers USA, where he provided leadership for a 74-property, nationwide hotel real estate investment trust (REIT).
