Chef Chase Kojima is set to close the doors to his fast-dining restaurant Simulation Senpai in Darling Square on 6 November.
The chef is partnering up with Restaurateur Howin Chui (Kowloon Café) to expand the Senpai Empire with a new concept in Burwood this December.
It is welcome news following the successful launch of Senpai Ramen in Chatswood earlier this year.
“We are entering an exciting, new phase of the Senpai Empire,” says the Kojima.
Kojima will be releasing new menu items from Senpai Empire each week in the lead up to the closure.
“We are not just expanding the brand, but we also have plans to deliver more unique. Some of these dishes will also be served in the final weeks at Simulation Senpai so customers can get a taste of what we’re creating.”
Chui and Kojima have collaborated several times in the last eight months including their sell-out event Ni Hao Bar x Simulation Senpai.
Senpai Ramen pop-up first opened during the pandemic as a way for to keep staff employed and has since grown popularity for serving fresh sashimi and chirashi.
The Hoseki Bako, which includes 15 different kinds of hand-picked seafood, has also become a crowd favourite.
