Sydney’s Inner West is gearing up to welcome a new venue in Enmore that’s all about stepping back in time.

The Enmore Country Club will officially open its doors on 17 January on Enmore Road, with the space channelling a retro aesthetic via its design and cocktail menu.

The concept is the work of Dan McBride and Dynn Szmulewicz (The Sunshine Inn, The Little Guy, ex-The Golden Gully), who have brought on Doom Juice’s Zachary Godbolt as head designer.

Godbolt has teamed up with the venue to mastermind a ’70s-inspired space decked out with timber cladding, a resin bar top, brass finishes and custom tables.

Cocktails are of course a big part of the 60-seater’s offering, and drinkers can expect the menu to evolve according to seasonality.

The team has already picked their signature – a hard cherry cola that will go down a treat in this hot weather.

A rotating list of natural wines will be projected onto the walls and beers are all from local brewers.

Pop in from Tuesday next week.
