Sitting above Goldfields House on Chapel Street, Melbourne’s new rooftop bar will boast 260-degree views of the city.
Beverly is the project of Co-Founder and Director Cameron Northway (Rocker Bondi, LOTI and Sweet&Chilli) along with Goldfield’s Managing Director Marco Gattino and Lachlan Thompson.
David Ball (Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons and The Glass House) will lead the kitchen to serve up a sophisticated but approachable menu with a focus on local produce.
Expect bar snacks like bluefin tartare with chilli yuzu mayo alongside small and larger share plates like wood-grilled octopus skewers with ‘nduja romesco and slow-cooked beef rib with bourbon sauce.
The wine list will lean into a mix of new and old world drops while the cocktails will make use of native herbs and locally made spirits.
“Beverly will be a serene oasis that epitomises understated luxury,” says Gattino.
“It’s perfectly positioned 24 levels above the hustle and bustle of Chapel Street with uninterrupted 270-degree views of Melbourne’s city skyline, Port Phillip Bay and beyond. There is nothing like it in Melbourne and, quite possibly, Australia.”
Designers Mitchell & Eades (Carlton Wine Room and Mr Miyagi) are behind the space’s earthy palette and effortless cool vibe inspired by the rooftops of Los Angeles.
Beverly is set to open in April, and is located at 627 Chapel Street, Melbourne.
