Gilmerton House, a country retreat in East Lothian, Scotland, has announced a pop-up bed and breakfast experience for the month of August.

‘Rooms by Gilmerton House’ is a limited opportunity that aims to deliver to guests an “enchanting and memorable” stay at the historic property

Over selected dates throughout August, the venue will transform from an exclusive-use property into a luxurious B&B to offer guests the opportunity to stay in one of its bedrooms.

According to the venue, each room has been “thoughtfully designed” to blend modern comforts with the property’s historic charm to give guests an unforgettable experience.

As part of the pop-up experience, guests will also have access to a variety of exclusive amenities and activities, such as the venue’s billiards room, driving range, croquet lawn, grand piano, a wide selection of board games, and yoga mats in each bedroom.

Each morning, a continental breakfast grazing table will be set out for all guests, utilising locally sourced produce.

Guests are also welcome to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the grounds with leisurely strolls through the estate’s gardens, and the countryside and local area.

Graham Booth, general manager of Gilmerton House, said: “Creating a pop-up style experience allows us to offer our unique and peaceful surroundings to smaller groups and couples who may not usually get the opportunity to stay at this wonderful and historic property.

“Whether it’s a romantic getaway, a special occasion, or simply a desire to indulge in the finer things in life, Gilmerton House promises an extraordinary and secluded escape.”
