Carbon-negative brewery BrewDog will open a new bar in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley on 11 November.
The bar will occupy three storeys of the heritage-listed TranBerg house and is the city’s second BrewDog venue in addition to The DogTap in Murarrie.
“Our new Fortitude Valley bar includes state-of-the-art facilities, our classic industrial and comfy fit out using a range of sustainable materials, fridges brimming with epic craft beers, merch, plus two iconic 6m shuffleboards,” says Head of Operations Calvin McDonald.
“The opening of this new location really marks an exciting step forward in our Australia journey, and is the perfect spot for us to continue quenching the thirst and wowing the taste buds of more craft beer aficionados.”
BrewDog’s range of beers are carbon negative and sustainably made at the brewery’s solar-powered Murarrie brewery and taproom.
There will be more than 20 taps pouring everything from pale ales and lagers to imperial stouts, sours and the BrewDog & Friends range, which will feature beers from local guest breweries.
Sustainable cocktails, wines, spirits, shandys and non-alcoholic options will also be on offer.
The menu will comprise 50 per cent plant-based options plus weekly specials such as all-you-can-eat wings for $25.
50 per cent of the venue’s profits will be shared among its 35 new employees across the kitchen, bar, management and wait staff as a means to attract new talent.
To celebrate the opening, BrewDog will give its first 200 customers a chance to win free beer for a year, with the winner announced on the opening day.
BrewDog Fortitude Valley officially opens at 12pm on 11 November and marks the start of a string of new openings, with sites in Sydney and Melbourne to come.
