As reported in the fourth quarter United States Construction Pipeline Trend Report from Lodging Econometrics (LE) for 2022, the franchise companies with the largest construction pipelines at the end of Q4 are led by Marriott International (Marriott) with 1,490 projects/180,113 rooms. Following Marriott is Hilton Worldwide (Hilton) with 1,378 projects/154,790 rooms and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) with 789 projects/78,951 rooms.

The Eden Hotel Collection has achieved a green target of preventing 100% of its waste from going to landfill over the past year. The portfolio of hotels, which includes Bovey Castle in Devon and Brockencote Hall in Kidderminster, recycled 313 tonnes of waste across all of its hotels in 2022, 30% of which has been directly recycled, while half has been converted into renewable energy through incineration.

According to Knowland ‘s U.S. Meetings Recovery Forecast (MRF) and associated Top 25 U.S. Meetings Recovery Forecast (MRF25), meeting volume outperformed in Q4 2022. The company also shifted the 2023 forecast higher than was predicted in Q3 2022. “The fourth quarter outperformed the Knowland forecast by 8.4%, driven by top market growth,” said Kristi White, chief product officer, Knowland. “Additionally, both November and December exceeded 2019 numbers.
